Blended Program
Blended Program
A client wishes to partake in a Provisional Program but cannot carry out a specific phase of training for the pet whether it be the initial puppy training, obedience training, or task training. This Blended portion is when VIK9 takes temporary care and custody of the canine for a specific period (5 days per week and returns the dog to the client on the weekends) to accomplish the required training of the dog, provide coaching to develop the client and the bond of the team so that upon completion of that training, the canine is returned to the client and the team can continue with the Provisional Program.
This is a program that helps the client maintain the most cost-effective training of their task-trained service dog while providing the best chance of success when barriers are either known ahead of time or are encountered during Provisional Programs.
If the Blended Program is initiated during the Provisional Program, then the Provisional Program is put on hold until the Blended Program is completed while at the same time, the weekly public access training continues so that the bond between the handler and canine is maintained.
