Our Vision:
To develop a nationally recognized and accredited CAHS Training facility that takes a holistic approach to training and supporting Canine Assisted Human Service Teams (service dog and CAI/CIT team training) while promoting continued education to the community regarding the multitude of disabilities (disabling effects) and how Service Dogs, CAI/CIT Support Dogs can benefit them.

 Where We Are Actively Involved
– with provincial government in improving the service dog standards while improving Human Rights and Accessibility issues within the province. 
– in various studies that are developing science-based facts on many issues including efficacy of service dogs for various disabilities (most notably PTSD, etc). 
– in developing national standards for the Assisted Human Services Industry with the ultimate goal in developing national standards for service dogs. 
– engaging the various stakeholders and communities in educating the public around service dogs and help to promote a better public understanding for service dog teams. 
– seeking grants to assist the public in being a positive influence on mental health issues and to help lower suicide rates. 

What VIK9 AHSS means
“VI” means “Vancouver Island”, where we are based in beautiful B.C., Canada.
“K9” means “Canine”.
“AHSS” means “Assisted Human Service Society”.
