The Cully Legacy Fund
Campaign Code: LFC002
Goal: $100,000
The Cully Legacy Fund is dedicated to raising funds that will
be directed to support the training and support services of a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran who requires a task-trained service dog due to injuries incurred during their dedicated service to establishing or maintaining peace in the world and any other demands required of our country.

The Hoover Legacy Fund
Campaign Code: LFC024
Goal: unlimited
The Hoover Legacy Fund supports individuals with scoliosis or related conditions causing muscle or nerve damage who need task-trained service dogs, particularly when financial resources are limited. VIK9 AHSS provides service dogs trained for various medical and mental health needs, excluding visual impairment, with training tailored to the handler’s abilities.
Hoover, a Medic Alert Service Dog, team-trained with his handler in 2024, assists his handler with diabetes detection and scoliosis-related complications, with all expenses currently self-funded due to lack of insurance coverage. His help has been greatly appreciated by his handler, as it makes her life easier to get out and continue to contribute to her community, which is her lifetime passion.
The fund aims to help others in similar situations and condition access service dogs when no other assistance is available. Hoover loves his handler, so he is asking for your help, to help others in need of a Service Dog like him.

The Roxy Legacy Fund
Campaign Code: LFC001
Goal: $75,000
The Roxy Legacy Fund is dedicated to raising funds and be directed to support the unexpected costs of replacing a Trained Service Dog (or Service Dog-In-Training).
Whereby all efforts are made in:
- Screening the Breeder supplying the dog,
- Selecting the best puppy candidate to be used to train up for the specific needs of the specific handler/client,
- Providing the best care and training of the dog to fully prepare the dog to be passed to the handler/client’s care and custody, and
- Providing the best training of the handler/client in all aspects of being the responsible person for the task-trained service dog
.…After all the above efforts are made, having an unpredicted/undiagnosed medical condition arise that causes the dog to be put-to-rest, strips the handler/client of the much-needed support through no fault of theirs or VIK9 AHSS. Roxy was such a case, and the various insurances did not cover such replacement costs. The emotional and financial toll greatly effected all respective parties. Having an emergency fund for such tragedies in the future means mitigating the toll of such a tragedy.

Diesel Placement Fund – Critical Incident Trauma (CIT) Support Dog
Campaign Code CIT-2025-002
Goal: $43,600
The Diesel Placement Fund helps cover the costs already invested in Diesel — including his purchase, training, and care — so he can support people living with PTSD or Critical Incident Trauma. These costs total $40,000. The Fund will also pay to train up to three handlers who will work with Diesel and help guide him in his support work ($1,200 per handler, for a total of $3,600).
Our goal is to place Diesel with the Victoria, BC Westshore RCMP as their Critical Incident & Trauma (CIT) Support Dog. In this role, Diesel will comfort and support RCMP staff, help Victim Services when people are giving difficult statements, and take part in community outreach programs by using his task-trained skills.
Diesel was originally trained to be a PTSD Service Dog for one person, but his situation changed. He has now been trained to support many people, has a heart of gold and just wants to make sure everyone is ok, he would be an excellent fit for any community and /or crisis-response work.
Please note the code “CIT-2025-002” on your cheque or e-transfer.
Diesel is ready for immediate placement.
